WE ARE A CHRISTIAN PEOPLE
As members of the Church Universal, we join with all true believers in proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ and in embracing the historic Trinitarian creedal statements of Christian faith. We value our Wesleyan-Holiness heritage and believe it to be a way of understanding the faith that is true to Scripture, reason, tradition, and experience.

WE ARE A HOLINESS PEOPLE
God, who is holy, calls us to a life of holiness through the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Holy Spirit seeks to do in us a second work of grace, called by various terms including “entire sanctification” and “baptism with the Holy Spirit”-cleansing us from all sin, renewing us in the image of God, empowering us to love God with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, and our neighbors as ourselves, and producing in us the character of Christ. Holiness in the life of believers is most clearly understood as Christlikeness.

WE ARE A MISSIONAL PEOPLE
We are a sent people, responding to the call of Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to go into all the world, witnessing to the Lordship of Christ and participating with God in the building of the Church and the extension of His kingdom (Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 6:1). Our mission (a) begins in worship, (b) ministers to the world in evangelism and compassion, (c) encourages believers toward Christian maturity through discipleship, and (d) prepares women and men for Christian service through Christian higher education.

Tim Miller

Lead Pastor

Pastor Tim Miller has been the Lead Pastor of Bluffton Church
of the Nazarene since July 2008.  He became ordained with the
Church of the Nazarene in June of 1995, and was a graduate of
Huntington College.

Pastor Tim began his ministry at Southside Church of the Nazarene
in Louisville, KY, in May of 1983. After pastoring there for two years,
he became the Youth Pastor/Administrator at Lake Avenue Church of the Nazarene (presently known as Grace Point) in Fort Wayne, followed
by becoming the Senior Pastor at Decatur Nazarene, Youth Pastor at
Anderson Nazarene & then the Senior Pastor at Brownstown Nazarene
prior to moving to Bluffton.

Tim is so grateful to be a part of a church wanting to make a difference with Jesus in the lives of others.  Since 2008, he enjoys the privilege of sharing the Word of God weekly with the Bluffton Nazarene Church.  He and his wife, Monica, enjoy being with their four children, their spouses & the grandchildren along with taking walks together, watching March Madness & going on vacation.

Andrew wants to live in a world where he can act like a teenager all his life. A world where he can stay up late and sleep in everyday, video gaming is an official job, his truck never gets dirty, cookie dough ice cream was served at every meal, Michael Jordan comes out of retirement, staying in shape was simple, working out was funner, funner becomes a real word, Peyton Manning commercials aired non-stop, his beautiful wife Aline is always around to do his laundry, his kids (Eden, Eli & Ethan) think he is cooler than The Rock, he stars in a TV series about his life, and never cares what anyone thinks of him.

In the meantime, he is the Youth & Young Adult Pastor of the Bluffton Naz Church where he loves his ministries!

Scott has been in ministry for 18 years, and graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University with a Church Music degree in 2007. He has served churches in his home state of Ohio, Tennessee, Arkansas, and now has become a Hoosier (go Bucks!).

He makes it obvious that worship is his passion, not a job. When leading, his heart is on display, as he doesn’t focus on showmanship or charisma, but seeks to lead the church into authentic worship alongside him. Besides worship, Pastor Scott also oversees the tech and senior adults ministries.

Scott has been married to his amazing wife, Lindsay, since 2017 and they have a daughter, Melody (5).
