Pastor Tim Miller has been the Lead Pastor of Bluffton Church
of the Nazarene since July 2008. He became ordained with the
Church of the Nazarene in June of 1995, and was a graduate of
Pastor Tim began his ministry at Southside Church of the Nazarene
in Louisville, KY, in May of 1983. After pastoring there for two years,
he became the Youth Pastor/Administrator at Lake Avenue Church of the
Nazarene (presently known as Grace Point) in Fort Wayne, followed
by becoming the Senior Pastor at Decatur Nazarene, Youth Pastor at
Anderson Nazarene & then the Senior Pastor at Brownstown Nazarene
prior to moving to Bluffton. Pastor Tim feels his purpose in life is to reach
people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Tim has been married to his wife, Monica, since June 3, 1983.
They have four children: Andrew, Bethany, Sarah, & Grace.

Moment: A friend, who I will
call "Randy", his mother passed away. So my family drove about an hour &
a half from home to his mother's viewing. While there, I asked Randy if
we could take his family out to eat after the viewing. They agreed. We
had a great time eating together. When I went to pay for the bill, I
pulled out my Discover card & the restaurant did not take Discover. I
took out my new Visa that I had gotten that day, when the cashier ran it
through it wouldn't take. I found out later that I was still to use my
old Visa until the new date began on my new Visa. I went to pay with
check, but they won't accept a check, especially since it was an
out-of-town check. I did not have enough cash on me. So for a moment I
didn't know what I was going to do. Randy saw what was happening &
stepped in to pay the bill with his credit card. It was an awkward &
embarrassing time, although I did make out a check for the total amount
& gave it to him to cover the bill.
Funny thing was Randy went on a district mission
trip with a few people from the church where I was serving. Randy told
the people from my church not to accept an invitation if I asked them to
go out to eat & that it was my treat because they may get stuck with the
bill. Although Randy told them the rest of the story. So when the people
from my church got back from the mission trip, I had to relive the
